Moonachie is a borough located in the Hackensack River watershed in Bergen County, New Jersey. There have been claims that Moonachie was named after a Native American Chief known as Monaghie, who inhabited the local cedar forests. As of the 2010 U.S. Census, Moonachie had a population of about 2,708 residents and the ZIP code: 07074.

Moonachie is an upscale suburb in New York City that offers its residents a suburban feel. Most residents in Moonachie are private home owners while some have rented out, most of this percentage being young professionals. The public school system in Moonachie is above average. Students from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade attend the Robert L. Craig School and from ninth to twelfth grades, they attend Wood-Ridge High School. The Bergen County Technical Schools offers qualified public school students from the county a chance to join the secondary education programs. The main route passing through Moonachie is County Route 503 which passes as Moonachie Road.

The service is friendly, attentive and very helpful in recommending what to eat. Worth trying are the burgers, pastrami sandwiches and tasty chicken paninis, among other food items on the menu.

  • Mill Creek Marsh: This is a nature preserve in the New Jersey Meadowlands. The preserve is fed by the mighty Hackensack River and the New Jersey Turnpike Eastern Spur also runs through the nature area. The serenity and fresh air make it the perfect place to unwind and de-stress.  During the fall, summer and spring, bird watchers enjoy watching different bird species migrating. The marsh and vegetation with trails to walk around make Mill Creek Marsh the best spot to walk and see nature.
