NJ events

New Jersey is famous for many things, including its amazing beaches, cultural diversity, and eclectic mix of cuisine. The Garden State can hardly be described as boring, with local theaters, concert halls, museums, and great eateries scattered across the state. There are fairs, festivals and craft shows happening all year round, and boring can’t be in your vocabulary. Here are some exciting NJ events lined up for the month of July 2019. Check them out!

OceanFest at Long Branch

The OceanFest will light up the New Jersey Promenade on the 4th of July.  The Independence Day celebration event will be a thrilling event featuring various activities. You will enjoy the live performances by musicians, clowns, sample the delicious food, and rummage through the crafts that will be on display by crafters from across New Jersey. An elaborate sand sculpture will also be on display. The night ends with one of New Jersey’s finest and lengthiest displays of fireworks. The event runs from 10 am all through to 10 pm, so plan accordingly.

Anglesea Blues Festival

The Anglesea Blues Festival is a celebration of regional and blues artistes. It goes hand in hand with the New Jersey State Barbecue Championship. The best blues musicians will feature on the outdoor main stage, and in the nearby pubs and clubs as well. You can park in the street as long as it is in close proximity to the event. The other alternative is to park along Trolley Route, hop onto the Trolley and head to the blues festival. The Festival runs from July 12th, 13th and 14th in North Wildwood Anglesea Entertainment District.

Night in Venice

NJ events are not complete without a Night in Venice. It is a yearly event and is one of the world’s largest boat parades. The parade, plus the well-adorned bayfront home competition gives you an opportunity to join in 2019’s summer’s climax in Ocean City. Thousands of people will throng the bayfront. Others, also in their thousands will go to privately held parties from Ocean City Long Port Bridge all the way to Tennessee Avenue. A wonderful display of fireworks will wrap up the celebrations. The theme will be a celebration of 65 years of Night in Venice, a remembrance of Nights in Venice gone by. The festival will be held in Longport Bridge on July 13th from 5.30 pm to 9 pm.

Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning

The Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning is the largest music and hot air balloon festival in North America. The festival holds mass ascensions two times a day of over 100 sport and special shape hot air balloons. It will feature vendors and crafters, live music concerts, a balloon glow and lots of food. The live concerts this year feature The Beach Boys, The Band Perry, ABBA The Concert, and many others. The event will run for three nights in Solberg Airport from July 26th to July 28th, 2019.

Lyndhurst Independence Day Fireworks

The 4th of July is cause for celebration. As America celebrates its Independence Day, in New Jersey, we also celebrate it in pomp, color and of course fireworks! The Lyndhurst Independence Day Fireworks will be held on July 2nd from 6 pm to 11 pm. There will be plenty of food, a Dee Jay, and vendors selling various crafts. The fireworks will be at dusk, and the festivities will continue up until 11 pm.
