January 2020 – NJ Events To Attend

NJ events

New Jersey is nestled comfortably between Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York and Atlantic Ocean. It may be one of the smallest states in America, but it has an average income of $3,288 per capita, making it the second wealthiest state in United States. This reason alone makes NJ one of the most desirable places to live in and/or start a family.

If you have finally made the decision to move to NJ in 2020 or simply plan to visit the state on a short getaway, we have listed some notable events that are scheduled to take place in January 2020:

Dinosaur Train

Venue: Liberty Science Center, NJ

Date: Jan 01 – Jan 20, 2020

Do your kids love dinosaurs? Take them aboard the Dinosaur Train that will take them back to the Mesozoic Period. On the train they will learn more about fossils excavation, what dinosaurs used to eat, hang out in a giant dinosaur nest, and also get to learn more about steam engines. This event is suitable for children from the ages of 2 to 8, and admission is free!

Christmas Light Show and Outdoor Village

Venue: Skylands Stadium, 94 Championship Pl, NJ

Date: New Year’s Eve

Are you interested in seeing some real northern lights this New Year’s Eve? Skyland stadium is the place to be. The Christmas Light Show and Outdoor Village event will showcase a mile long of dazzling lights and glittering displays. Additionally, there’s an enchanting village that is full of delicious treats, fun-filled activities, memory making photo ops, and much more. The fun begins when one arrives at the stadium and journeys through the mile long drive that is beautifully lit by over two million lights. Attendees can also skate and glide on the Pompton Sports Center’s 20′ x 40′ outdoor skating rink. If you are seeking a adventurous or romantic experience or looking to usher in the New Year with other people, this is the place to be.

Angry Birds Universe Exhibit

Venue: Liberty Science Center, 222 Jersey City Blvd, NJ

Date: Jan 01 – March 31st 2020

Since the inception of Angry Birds, more and more people are enjoying taking down the pigs with the help of their friends. If you are a big fan of Angry Birds, you will be glad to know that you have a chance to play the live version of this game. At the exhibit, attendees will have a chance to use massive slingshots to launch “angry birds”, learn about egg sizes, try a hand in high-tech design studio, race handheld vehicles, learn about bird flight and wingspan dynamics, and so much more. For those who are looking for more than just having fun, they will get to learn more about geometry, magnetics, gravity, animation, and physics, just like in the video game.

Start 2020 on a positive note by attending any of these events with your loved ones. If you are looking to invest in a property in NJ, feel free to contact a local real estate agent. Apart from being one of the best places to raise a family, fair housing costs, as well as high quality of healthcare and education, are some of the reasons why so many people choose to move to New Jersey.
