Mrs. Gaffney was the true pioneer of the famous Sally Lunns Look. That look is widely emulated by tea houses all over America. In 1991, Sally Lunns Chester was finally set up in New Jersey. They are famous for their mouthwatering and scrumptious buttermilk scones. That’s not all. They also serve seasonal pies, hearty soups, sandwiches, and chocolate cakes. Still hungry? Located in the historic section of Wayne Township, High SocieTea House is a popular tea house and gift shop. As the tea house has a limited number of tables, it is recommended that you make reservations early. All food is prepared on-site. They use organic products and farm fresh produce, and even offer a gluten-free menu.

Cosy Cupboard Tea Room

Cosy Cupboard Tea Room houses two large dining rooms and it is the perfect place for patrons to enjoy an endless serving of tea. If you drop by on your birthday, you will get a complimentary bag of tea! A popular item on the menu is the Prince Edward Island Tea set. It comprises an English tradition of Afternoon Tea. You start with a bowl of soup and a specialty house salad. After that, you continue enjoying a plate of freshly prepared tea sandwiches, scones, and jam tarts. This five-course meal concludes with a choice of dessert and—drum roll—free flow, freshly brewed tea.

Teaberry’s Tea Room

Teaberry’s Tea Room is nestled in a restored Victorian home. It is one of the oldest homes in Flemington that was built in 1822. The tea house owners presently use every room in the home, i.e. 100 seats and six dining rooms. In the tea house, fresh linens and flowers top each table. An attentive wait staff is also ready to take care of you. Patrons can enjoy an afternoon tea and full lunch Tuesday through Sunday. The tea house also hosts events – site availability can be checked on the website’s calendar.
