New Jersey’s annual calendar is lined up with a chock full of exciting events from wine tastings to food festivals and musical concerts to cultural fairs. This September, it will be no different. Check out these five NJ events that are scheduled to happen in the Garden State:

West Cape May Tomato Festival 

On September 3, the attention will shift to southern New Jersey with the celebration of tomatoes at the West Cape May Tomato Festival that will host a range of tomato dishes including the empanadas and the tomato pies to excite your taste buds. There will be numerous stalls and vendors exhibiting the exotic variety of Jersey tomato. You can have fun throughout the day shopping and tasting the delicacies along with your friends and family.

Ashbury Park Oysterfest

Held over a 3-day period starting September 9, the Ashbury Park Oysterfest is a one-of-a-kind oyster festival that will take place at the iconic Carousel building in the Ashbury Park. Featuring live music and culinary delights, this signature event is one of the flagship festivals of Monmouth County that will give you an ultimate dose of oyster dishes and other festival foods.  More than 75 crafters and vendors will put their best pieces on display and you can enjoy the musical performances with exemplary wine and beer tastings.

Fine Art and Crafts Festival

The Anderson Park in Essex County will be graced with a fine collection of art and craft work on the weekend, September 17 and 18. The main feature of the Fine Art Festival will be the presence of more than 150 professional crafters, artists and photographers from all across the nation, with vendors putting their hand-crafted work on display sale.  Entry is totally free of cost and you can shop for various fine arts, handcrafted jewelries, pottery, leather, glass, and fiber products.

Boardwalk Bunk-Down

Want to experience the thrill of camping on the boardwalk? Enjoy the weekend at the Morey’s Piers this 24th and 25th of September in Wildwood for an exciting camping experience that will take you on fun rides and amusements. You can enjoy the delicious smores and hot cocoa at the campsite after a breathtaking session of fun activities. What’s more, you can grab a bag of popcorn and enjoy watching a movie on the big screen. Experience the fun of spending a night inside a tent as you enjoy a cup of hot coffee with your friends and family. There’s also a complimentary breakfast provided on Sunday morning.

Downtown Toms River Farmers Market

Downtown Toms River is ready to host a farmers market on September 28 that will exhibit the finest quality of produce from local farmers.  The market will feature both organic farmers and local vendors who’ll display a wide assortment of native herbs, vegetables and fruits. Homemade items such as hot sauces, sandwiches, crabs, cakes, candies and olive oils will also be put on sale. You can shop for these locally grown fresh produces at extremely reasonable prices!
