Rutherford is a borough located in Bergen County, New Jersey. It was formed from portions of Union Township on September 21, 1881, after a referendum was held the previous day. The borough is named after John Rutherfurd, a U.S. Senator who owned land in the area. It has a population of 18,061 residents and the ZIP code: 07070.

  • The Williams Center: The Williams Center is a private, non-profit cinema and performing arts complex located in downtown Rutherford. It was named after William Carlos Williams, a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and physician. The building was constructed in the 1920s as a theatre called the Rivoli and it played host to great acts like the Glenn Miller orchestra and Abbot and Costello. Currently, the theatre offers 3 movie screens, an outdoor terrace and local events.
