Wine Hop Tour

Happening over the entire year of 2017, the Wine Hop Tour is held at the New Jersey Korean War Memorial. This is an excellent opportunity for you to experience the best in New Jersey wines. No one does it better than NJ! The tour offers the option of being guided (thanks Renault and Tomasello Wineries!), so you can savor and appreciate the award winning flavors of the area’s premier handcrafted fine wines. Other cool stuff the event offers include round trip transportation, area meal coupons, salt water taffy, and more. With that, you can expect to spend about 3.5 hours at the event.

Historic Boardwalk Tour

The Historic Boardwalk Tour is slated to last until September 30, 2017. Held at the Boardwalk Hall, this event features walking tour of the world renowned Atlantic City Boardwalk. Being the first to be built in the United States, it is more than a century old. That’s why there is a lot to learn regarding the boardwalk’s success and origins. If you are interested in this event, you have to be sure that you can walk at least two miles in a leisure manner. If all is well, 90 minutes of your life will be well spent here.

Toy World!

Until September 10, 2017, you are welcomed to check out Toy World! at the New Jersey State Museum. This an amazing toy exhibition that will enlighten and entertain both the young and old. The reason why toys hold great significance in NJ is because the state was a manufacturing center for toys from the 1880s to the 1970s. Tin toys, Flexible Flyers, Colorforms, Lionel and Tyco trains, etc., were some of the best known toys and had their start here. All in all, you can expect to find more than 75 historic toys and an interactive play area for kids.

Long Branch Jazz and Blues Festival

On August 26, 2017, you may attend the Long Branch Jazz and Blues Festival. Happening from 1 to 930 pm, you will be able to enjoy the music played by six talented bands including Popa Chubby (they are the featured closing act!) Jazz – the art of improvisation whilst sounding absolutely beautiful, whether you are a fan of rocking, funky and traditional blues or American songbook jazz, you are guaranteed to have a good time here. What’s more, there is plenty of exotic and regional NJ food to gorge on here.

22nd Annual Rolling Iron Auto Show

The event will be held on August 20, 2017 and is considered to be one of the best antique car shows on the Shore. You will come across more than 200 historic, which includes motorcycles, family cars, fire trucks, and more. The interesting thing is that the cars on display are least 25 years old; produced before 1991. The venue is the Historic Village at Allaire. It is a not for profit living history museum that teaches the public about life in NJ in 1836.

Featuring the zip code of 07481, Wyckoff, NJ is a township located in Bergen County. Wyckoff was created from portions of Franklin Township, Mahwah, and Ridgewood Township. Home Inspection Tips For House Buyers

The home inspection is one of the most important aspects of buying a home. If it is not done, or done incorrectly, you could buy a home only to find that it has all sorts of structural or mechanical problems that could be costly to repair. Here are some home inspection tips that house buyers should know.

What To Look For

The first thing you want to review is the home’s structure. This is what professionals will assess as it determines whether or not radon is present or insects such as termites which will consume any wooden objects they come in contact with. You will also need to perform tank sweep inspections to determine if there are oil tanks which have been abandoned beneath the surface.

Inspecting a house before you buy it is similar to purchasing a used car; you never hand over any money until you’ve looked under the hood, and don’t expect the homeowner to be forthcoming with any issues that may exist with the property. They may not be aware of them, or if they are, they may simply choose not to reveal them to you. An inspection should last from 2 to 3 hours and you should be present during the process.

Why You Should Be Present During The Inspection

Some home buyers avoid attending the inspection because they lack the time, but there are a number of reasons you should be there. First, professional inspectors will show you the best way to maintain the property, as well as what problem areas to look for and things to be cautious about. Depending on the extent of the damage and the time and effort that is required to fix it, you may choose not to buy the house at all and move on to a better offer. Sellers will often cooperate especially if they’re having a hard time moving the property or the market has more sellers than buyers.

There are rides for children, and adults will be treated to the work of Gemini Lombardi, a noted comedian, who specializes in standup, magic and is a skilled ventriloquist.  Also making an appearance at this event will be Cassie Mia, a singer who is known for her neo-soul music and who has performed at Webster Hall. Parking will be from Monday until Wednesday and the cost of admission will vary. All the rides are height specific and attendees must have tickets to enjoy them.

Parade, Independence Day, Fairview Avenue and Century Road

This event will be held on Tuesday, the 4th of July starting at 9 A.M. Sponsored by the Columbia Bank, the day will start with a ceremony of ribbon cutting performed near Century Road, and winners of the Bicycle, Float and Stroller Contests will be announced, along with the Miss 4th of July. Food donations will also be collected.

Ridgefield Park, Fourth of July Event, July 4th

This event will begin early at 7:30 a.m. and will feature a number of patriotic events, such as a public reading for the Declaration of Independence, a flag raising ceremony which will performed by the Girl and Boy Scouts, and the Fire Department who will be present to showcase their equipment. A parade will be held starting at 9 A.M. that will be led by the honor students and food and drinks will be available.
